There are lots of ways to make reading fun!  During our regular days at school, students practice their personal reading skills, as well as story time.  "Storyline Online" and "Epic" are some of their favorite stories to listen too.

                                                      Questions to Ask After Reading

Choose some questions from different categories on the list to ask after reading. This will help with students retell and comprehension.

  Who were the characters?          Who was your favorite character? Why?
  Did you like the book? Why?  Was there anything about it that you did not like?
  What could be another ending?  Do you know any other books like this?

(TEXT TO TEXT)  Has anything like this ever happened to you?
(TEXT TO SELF)  How do you think the character was feeling?  Did the characters feelings change during the story? How?  Did you see any hard words?  Are there any words that you don’t understand?  Who is the author?  Who is the illustrator?  How many pages does this book have?
